About Peter Wright
In 2002, Cook Like a Mother! Clean Like a Pro! The Single Dad's Guide to Cooking and Cleaning was published. Over 5,000 copies were sold, with national media applauding its tone and intent to help dads in the kitchen. He has appeared on virtually every morning news show across the country, from Halifax to Vancouver.
Peter has an extensive background in media, as an actor (ACTRA member since 1978), in production and media sales. He founded, with his late partner, LiveWell Marketing Inc., a boutique marketing company whose focus is on connecting brands and consumers in the pursuit of wellness.
That pursuit has let to the creation of The LiveWell Report, a Registered Dietitian-led third party testimonial platform that serves to counter the growing concern over misleading nutrition information online.
Peter's masters thesis is Eating for Wellness: Influences and Obstacles, which captures his interest in research, myth-busting, food, decision-making, and consumer behaviour.
It is the combination of these three convergences - the realization all the social media content, the influencer content, cooking recipes, hacks, etc., combined with an explosion in delivery app meals and a diminishing generational ability to cook that has inspired Peter to return to the kitchen to help out!
